Early Concept Art For The Joker In The Dark Knight
A lot has been said about the look of The Joker in The Dark Knight especially considering how much praise Heath Ledger has been getting for the role. We even posted an article a while back that showed what The Joker scars looked like underneath all the makeup. Peter over at /Film, however, put us on to some of the early concept art for The Joker (before Heath Ledger was cast) and it makes the final Joker look pretty tame in comparison.
Comic-Con: DC Universe Online looks awesome
Before heading out to Comic-Con, I was inundated with press releases about demos for new products that would be showcased in San Diego. One that really stood out to me was the upcoming DC Universe Online MMO from Sony Online Entertainment.
I was lucky enough to get creative director Chris Cao to show me how this amazing game will work. He is essentially in charge of what happens with the design of the game and therefore I got some good information.
Movie review: The Dark Knight (2008) by Mike
To butcher a famous line by Jack Nicholson, the original Joker from Batman:
“I have given a name to my Oscar….and it is Batman.”
More specifically, The Dark Knight.
I know there are movies yet to come this year that will be brilliant and amazing. Maybe the Curious Case of Benjamin Button will be a movie that warrants Academy attention.
But if there was ever going to be a time that an action-packed, superhero adventure was to win that coveted Best Picture Oscar…The Dark Knight is it. Hands down. And I wont forget to mention a Best Supporting Actor nod as well.
Movie/DVD Review: “Batman: Gotham Knight” (2008)
I’d been wanting to see Batman: Gotham Knight ever since I first heard about it. The screenshots we saw early on, and then the five-minute scene we posted totally got the blood flowing.
There was another reason to check it out. Word was that it bridged the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, due in theaters this Friday.
That’s all a thing of the past now. I’ve seen it and loved it.
Heath Ledger Joker Scars Without Whiteface and Makeup
By now we all know what Heath Ledger looks like as The Joker with all of his makeup on. We’ve seen his image about a thousand times. Although I had my doubts about the makeup job at first, it has since grown on me to the point where I really think it is far more realistic than any other Joker has ever been and therefore, more believable.
My New Favorite Poster for The Dark Knight
A brand new poster just came out for The Dark Knight and I just got a hold of it. Guess what? It’s now officially my new favorite poster for The Dark Knight.
My Favorite Shot of the Joker from “The Dark Knight”
There’s been some pretty cool pics and posters for The Dark Knight so far, but I think I’ve just found my favorite shot yet. This is a pic of The Joker played by Heath Ledger and it looks really cool.
Yet Another 2 Banner Posters For “The Dark Knight”
The Dark Knight seems to be trying to outdo all the other summer movies for the largest number of posters. It seems every movie this summer has about a thousand of them. I’m not sure why I keep posting them but everyone seems to like the Batman stuff and these are pretty cool, I guess, so here we go one more time.
The Dark Knight: Concept Art For Two-Face (spoilers!)
Okay, one thing I didn’t realize about The Dark Knight until about a week ago, is that while we have The Joker overshadowing everything, Harvey Dent/Two-Face (Aaron Eckhart) is going to be a key character with a makeup job that Warner Brothers have been trying to keep under wraps.
Now I can see why.
“The Dark Knight” trailer 2 bootleg verson
The web version of The Dark Knight trailer 2 is supposedly arriving on Sunday, but in the meantime we have this pretty bad bootlegged version that is making the rounds on the internet today.
But either way, I like it. Shows a bit more of The Joker and his scheme to get Batman. I cannot wait [...]
