If love was a fairytale, I would hope that it would go something like the story behind, "Letters to Juliet".

Fairytales are Fake, but it’s Fun to Imagine

Letters to Juliet was absolutely adorable. When I first thought about renting it I figured it would be another boring love story like most romantic movies these days; however, I was certainly surprised; although I was able to predict the ending!

The movie portrays the idea that “love” is never “lost”, and it is never too late to fix your prior mistakes. Now, we are all aware that this is not exactly the case in reality but that is why things such as these, only happen in the movies.

Amanda Seyfield travels to Italy, and captures the true story behind the wall of the letters to Juliet; where she soon meets the secretaries of Juliet whom write each person a letter back, encouraging them through their tough times.

During her journey with the secretaries of Juliet she discovers a “lost” letter written to Juliet 50 years prior, and decides to write Rose a letter back. She had no intentions of the letter actually making it to Rose, but to her surprise it did. She then sets out on a journey she never imagined becoming a part of.

She ends up spending her entire honeymoon traveling through Europe searching for Alonzo with Rose and her stubborn grandson Charlie. The ending is bitter sweet; as if a fairytale had been shared through the movie.

It isn’t the greatest movie but it is worth watching at least once.

The movie offers a great deal of hope, especially to those who are older and have already lived life to the fullest. It is a story about second chances, and taking a leap of faith.

We all know Robert Pattinson from the "Twilight" series, but his acting skills shine superbly in "Remember Me".

Remember Me tells the story of a young man who has difficulty coping with the loss of his brother. He seeks attention by getting into numerous situations that lead him to be frowned upon by his father, whom he has lost all faith for.

He desires to know the answers to life’s hard questions, which are simply, unanswerable. After back talking a police officer he gets a few bad bruises and a night in jail; in which his roommate experienced with him.

Determined to get revenge over the police officer, his friend sets him up with the officer’s daughter, in an attempt to use her and lose her; however, he quickly finds himself falling in love with her.

He discovers later that her life has been filled with the same struggles as his own. He starts seeing a different perspective on life, and begins to see the good in everyone; including his own father.

The movie was simply stunning! I thought it had just enough happiness to balance the sadness, and I enjoyed every minute of it! The ending was shocking and twisted! It made me realize how fragile life is, and what Ghandi meant when he stated, “Whatever you do in life will be insignificant. But it’s very important that you do it.”

Normally the medieval era does not interest me; however, after seeing Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood" I have certainly gained a broader respect for the time.

Behind the Legend is a Legend

We have all heard the tales of the famous Robin Hood but we have not always been informed completely of how Robin Hood earned his worldwide name. The movie tells the story before the legend and that is what intrigued me the most– well that and the leading star, Russell Crowe, and his rock hard bod!

While fighting under King Richard, Robin comes across a noble Englishman who has been wounded during battle, and is near his death. Sir Loxley hands Robin his sword and pleads him to take it to his father as his will.

Robin feels a strong connection to the words labeled on the handle of the sword “Rise and Rise again, till lambs become Lions”, and decides to take the sword back to the brave Englishman’s father.

When he arrives at the home he becomes attached by accepting a simple agreement from Sir Walter, which leads him to follow what might have been the dead Englishman’s life, if he had not passed. Robin becomes the son of Sir Walter, and the wife of Marion Loxley (Cate Blanchett);

Now with the former King Richard dead; his brother John becomes King of England. The story portrays all emotions: anger, fear, love, hate, jealousy, pity, courage, etc… It places emphasis on relationships; such as, friendships, romance, and family. Although, Robin encourages King John to fight for his country; the ending takes a severely twisted turn that leads to the late tales of Robin Hood.

I find the movie to be amazing! One of my favorites this year, and not just because of Russell Crowe!

I was a little upset about the fight between Godfrey (Oscar Isaac), and Robin at the end of the movie, but I will let you decide when you watch it.

Another must see summer movie with Adam Sandler is going big in theaters now. Funny and crazy all in the same roll. Sandler has step up a notch compared to his older movies.

I had the pleasure of watching Grownups this past weekend and I will say that it could fall as one of my funniest movies I have seen this summer. If family humor and comedy is your treat in a movie this movie will keep you laughing the whole way through.

The good thing is about this show it has been in theaters a while now and most of us may have already seen it. With stars like Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and David Spade, you can’t go wrong in a hit smash summer comedy.

It all starts with 5 kids learning from their favorite coach in basketball and leading into their today style lives. They take their families to the coaches funeral and then head out to the lake for the fourth of July where they then spread their great coaches ashes on a stranded island.

Bring the five guys together brings back some memories for them. Some turn off rich and some turn out broke. One married 3 or 4 times and ends up with a woman twice his age. he would be the one that turns out to have the most beautiful daughters in the world. But also he would be the one to have one single daughter that turns out to be not so beautiful as well.

Changing their lives in many ways has taught them how they use to be when they were kids growing up and being the only team that their dead coach had won a basketball championship with. I have to say that I never was like them when I was growing up.

This movie want bring any tears to your eyes unless you start crying due to the laughing and giggling. I rate it a 5 star movie as one of the best Adam Sandler movies made today. I will not lead you into anymore sides of this movie but will leave you with the fact that you may want to see it for yourself. Just watch the trailer and judge it for your own thoughts of mind.

Zach Galifianakis is side-splitting in “The Hangover”, a movie that made my day!

With all the hype about “The Hangover” I finally decided to watch it, and the movie is hysterical! The title pretty much sums up the movie to the core. We all know the feeling of a head splitting hangover; therefore it is easy to relate to the drama the friends face.

Attempting to take their best friend to Vegas for his bachelor party three men run into a more eventful night than they had ever planned for! They spend the following day searching for their best friend that they somehow “lost” during the drunken night, while trying to convince his finance’ of a somewhat different story.

They have unexpected visits from Mike Tyson, a baby, the police, and one mad Chinaman as they begin their search for Doug. With each event they grow closer to finding their good friend Doug, and capturing all the action from the somehow forgotten night that lead to his disappearance.

The movie is uproariously funny, definitely one to buy and watch when you need a good laugh!

Liam Neeson is bad-ass in “Taken” as he sets out to find his abducted daughter. Action packed and heart stopping the movie is a must see!

The Love of a Father

After a father (Liam Neeson) is split from his family because of his commitment to his former job as a prevent-er for the government, his daughter reaches the stage of seventeen and wants to travel with her cousin for the summer to follow a rock band around Europe.

Not thrilled with the idea her father refuses to allow her to venture off into dangerous land; however, her mother finds him being over protective and he goes against his own fear of putting his daughter at risk in order to regain her love.

While on the phone with her father she is abducted. He sets out to Europe to find his daughter who after investigation has been snatched by a group of Albanians who operate by trafficking women. With limited resources, and years of trained skills; including combat techniques and interrogation he demands to find his daughter doing whatever necessary to retrieve her.

The movie is full of intense scenes of action that you want leave your seat for a second, seriously, a awesome movie!

"Up in the Air" is heartrending and realistic; portraying the meaning of true life as we know it.

“Up in the Air” tells the story of a middle-aged single man (George Clooney) that is in love with his job. While getting a high to be hired by large corporations to do massive lay-offs, he spends the majority of his time traveling and fondling with random women to pass the time.

Since his traveling requires so much time he meets people in airports, hotels, and restaurants; however, he clearly has no close friends until he meets a wonderful woman (Vera Farmiga) who brings light into his abandoned life.

Now, with a close friend who becomes a confidant, and a drastic change in his current job he begins wondering what he is lacking in his life. Soon he learns that he could possibly be in need of friendship and family; nonetheless, we do not always get what we want.

I enjoyed the fact that it was unpredictable and dictated the idea of how shallow life can sometimes be. The ending was subtle and brilliant; which made the movie climb to my list of top ten.

Legally Blonde

“Legally Blonde” is clichéd but hilarious! A sorority fashion queen decides to apply to Harvard in hopes to get into law school to impress her ex- boyfriend in order to win his heart back.

Elle Woods, (Reese Witherspoon) gets accepted into Harvard and begins her fight for a law degree, only to soon learn that her ex has gotten engaged, she is too cute to be taken seriously, and her lead professor is only attempting to get into her pants!

After a shaky start she falls into some luck with a special criminal case, in which she is chosen to represent. She proves herself a great candidate for a lawyer after winning the case by using cosmopolitan common sense.

I adore the movie’s ability to make me laugh!

Sweet and Comical

“The Bounty Hunter”, was charming but predictable. Ex-husband and bounty hunter (Gerard Butler) is originally offered 5,000 dollars to track down ex-wife (Jennifer Aniston), and the process finds him in deeper trouble than he could have ever imagined.

“The Bounty Hunter” was just another mediocre movie that will become fairly successful because the world craves a good love story. Although, the flick was average and to some extent banal it still gave me a good laugh and a sense of bigheartedness.

Let’s face it, we all realize that reality does not perpetually bring us the happy endings that movies portray; however, it is always nice to hope and adorable movies like “The Bounty Hunter” install that optimism in us. “The Bounty Hunter” is definitely worth renting, or if you want to go the extra mile just buy it!

Inception

With all the architectural scenes, “Inception” was awesome; however, it was quite exhausting. After the movie was over I was thrilled that I was no longer trapped in the bizarre dream because it was so compound that it became hard for me to comprehend.

There were so many different story lines that the movie revolved around; it was hard to understand when the characters where dreaming and when they were living in true reality, of course, that was the point of the movie! If I could have seen it in 3D I believe I would have enjoyed it to a great extent more; because, “Inception” is a movie that you need to be a part of to believe.

The movie was designed for those who love extreme complexity and are elated by the idea that there may be a possibility for humans to put themselves asleep and dream with one another in order to create a fantasy world to accomplish a true goal in reality; nevertheless, that would be intricate if you can’t tell the difference between reality and the dream.
