Country music has been around for ages. Some like it and some don't! I still find myself listening to it from time to time but also can listen to other music as well. One country star that comes to mind has come a long way since he started. Which they all find a way maybe to the top before falling off the band wagon down the road. Jason Aldean is a good country star to look at but has yet to fall off just yet.

Jason Aldean a Multi-Platinum country rocker rolls the ( My Kinda Party )tour into 2012. His records have been somewhat some of countries best over the past two years. With songs like The Truth, My Kinda Party, Why, and Dirt Road Anthem. His shows are packed with fans from all over. Jason continues to rock country music to the top in 2012.

Bio:
There’s a lot about the singer that’s become familiar during his five years as a country hitmaker, after all, he has spent more weeks at No. one on the radio charts than any other country artist in the last 12 months. But none of what he does comes out quite like anyone else. The blues-tinged licks at the end of his phrases—there’s a ring of familiarity about them, but you can’t really link them to another artist. The smoky guitar riffs that have become a signature—they’re built on sounds that have come before, but they don’t really belong to anyone else in the country genre, either. The small-town themes that pervade many of his songs—that’s all been done before, but not quite with the unwavering honesty that Aldean applies to the subject. Read More by just clicking on his name after checking out a video of him. Jason Aldean

The song Jar of Hearts has been on the radio for some time now and it has climbed higher and higher. The song will either bring tears to your eyes or make you just dream you were the one for the singer that sings the song. Christina Perri is going to make it big sooner or later. I mean this by say she has the looks that a female pop star should have and has more tattoos than a monkey has hair in July. These are her marks on music that make her who she is today and possibly who she will become as she gets higher up the ladder in the up coming future.

After her song Jar of Hearts made its debut in July of 2010 it was placed in the iTunes and rose to the top 20 in one week. For some songs it takes even months for them to get to that point. I wish her good luck in the future and hope her next songs are as good as this one. She is not only the singer but the writer also for her song Jar of Hearts. Now I will leave you with your thoughts and your opinion after you watch the video.

There is a lot said by a kid when it comes to Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) but the word is out and the Disney channels hit show Hannah Montana will come to an end. Miley Cyrus has played as Hannah Montana on the Disney channel show for four years and there has been good and bad said about the show but all shows must come to an end sometime.

It is true that Miley Cyrus has said that her Hannah Montana days are up and beginning to turn the pop superstar into something more. Yes I say these days for the Hannah era are done! Disney has had their hands around this young lady’s neck for some time now and it is about that time they will have to let her go. EW.com has some of the scoop on a new and improved Miley and they leave you with this.

EW.COM:

She’s done with Disney. She’s open to nude scenes (“If it’s something that’s classy”). And you know why? Because Miley Cyrus Cannot Be Tamed.
The millionaire Mouseketeer, soon to be free of her Hannah Montana chains, will release the video for new single “Can’t Be Tamed,” from the upcoming album of the same name, on Tuesday, May 4 via E!,

I think that when a star reaches a certain point in their life they become more aware of how they are or how they will be treated in life. How will this new single “Can’t Be Tamed” reflect on Miley? To me it is just another song for her to add to her collection of hits. I have said in the past that she would make it big and now is her time by leaving Disney and trying something different.

I have to say that I will miss seeing her show Hannah Montana but all good things alike has to fall and come to it’s end someday. I will leave you with this music of her new single “Can’t Be Tamed” from YouTube but the video is not up at this time. E! News will host the Premiere Video at 7pm on May 4, 2010. I have to say that just listening to the song has her saying that she can’t be tamed. Miley has come a long way.

Even though she has already had other great hits like “The Climb”, and “Party in the USA” this new song could be one that may help her climb get even higher. Listen to the song here and it makes you want to say “Hey we have another Lady Gaga tune without the Gaga going crazy. I wish Miley with great success in the world of TV or music.

Who is the undisputed heavy weight champion of the world of guitar solo? And why?

David Gilmour has the Kwan

It’s easy to find countdowns to the best guitar solos ever. And it’s often the same guitar heroes you see and hear on these lists. Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix, Slash, Kirk Hammet, Yngwie Malmsteen, Eric Clapton, Brian May, Tom Morello and many others (this list is by far exhausted).

But we seldom hear why this solo is so fantastic, that it deserves a place in the great hall of fame. I’ll try to tell you in words why I value one solo above any other. I hope that you will challenge me in the comments.

What is a great guitar solo?

It’s never easy to define what makes craftsmanship so great that it could be determined as art. These days art is a term that are used way too lightly, and just about every bohemian freak on Myspace calls himself an artist. But I think Aristotle said it best:

All art is concerned with coming into being

Aristotle also said that:

Art completes what nature cannot bring to finish. The artist gives us knowledge of nature’s unrealized ends.

These two quotes gives me a way to grasp art from a ancient Greek philosophers point of view. The only thing I’m lacking is the love. We have a becoming from the first quote, and a fulfilling a potential in the second. I’m just missing the feelings of art, or the feeling that it awakes in me.

Well enough theory, let’s get practical.

Comfortably numb is the best guitar solo ever!

Why this bold statement one could ask? The answer is simple. Because the solo makes me feel like no other guitar solo can.

Every time I hear David Gilmour play this piece of great craftsmanship, I feel humble, baffled, sad and just about any feeling you can think of. It can still bring tears to my eyes even though I’ve heard it more times than I can think of. I’m especially fond of the version from the Pink Floyd live album Pulse.

I don’t think this solo is as difficult as some of the stuff you could hear Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia or other great jazz guitarist do. neither is is probably harder than some of the solos, that the guys I mentioned in the beginning of this articles has done. But it has the Kwan (to quote Rod Tidwell in Jerry Maguire).

See and hear if you can disagree (the solo start around 4:45 into the video, but don’t fast forward please!):

So let me know what is your favourite guitar solo? And more importantly WHY?

Kanye West proves that he is a disgrace to the entire music industry by ruining Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for best female music video.

Just in case you missed it:

As Taylor Swift accepted her award for best female video, Kanye West stole the mic from her during her acceptance speech at the VMA show earlier tonight and exclaimed

Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you. I’ll let you finish. But, Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!

Need I really say more about Kanye?

The Videos

While I appreciate both videos, I did prefer Taylor Swift’s You Belong with Me video over Beyoncé’s Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).

Here’s some links to the videos on YouTube:

Taylor Swift: You Belong with Me

Beyoncé: Single Ladies

No matter which should’ve won, Kanye West is still a disgrace to the entire music industry and should be banned from all future VMA shows.

Now, I’m sort of wondering how all of this would’ve went down if Pink had won the award.

Dan is a successful parenting advice columnist. This movie is the tale of his real life.

Dan In Real Life is the tale of a successful parenting advice columnist. This is a tale of his real life (just as the title leads you to believe).

This movie isn’t a formula comedic romance, it’s slow and sweet. The movie begins with the little mundane things it takes to keep life going. Dan is a hard worker who’s just trying to do the best he can in work and at home.

Theatrical trailers for this movie might lead you to believe this is a classic romantic comedy you’ve gotta see. This isn’t the case. While I enjoyed the slower pace, others may prefer a little more whiz-bang action for the buck. This movie is a nice and sweet story of romance at the wrong time. The comedy feels organic and is authentically embarrassing at times.

Fans of the NBC series The Office may enjoy the awkward moments and silent pauses throughout. There are even a few, genuinely painful, Michael Scott moments.

The movie soundtrack also deserves a nod. The music of Dan in Real Life by Sondre Lerche gently moves you through the tough moments and the funny stuff too, taking on a life of it’s own. I liked both the movie and it’s soundtrack.

The Vanguard Records And Sugar Hill Records: The Amazon New Music Digital Sampler is a collection of 5 tracks assembled in prime order. The first two tracks (Gone by Matt Nathansan & The One I Love by Greg Laswell) fit neatly into the Pop genre without being over-baked. The last three tracks combine sweet voices and interesting lyrics with a little twang to produce a unique folksy sound not to be missed. Even though the genres feel mixed, transition from the first two songs to the last three is smooth and easy.

This set isn’t a bunch of intros or grouping of medicore promo music, it’s a sweet snack of delight you can feel good about. It won’t cost you a penny and it’s not going to expand your wasteline – download the album.

Does it make sense talking about a demagogical jazzband? None the less, Ibrahim Electric must be the new Backstreet Boys.

Ibrahim Electric

Copenhagen Jazzfestival always make people that don’t normally listen to jazz find their way to bars and open air stages to listen to great music.

Like any other festival, Copenhagen Jazzfestival has the greatest experiences with the unexpected and the impulsive.

It was this metaphysical drive that drove me and a couple of friend to a small café in the heart of the Danish capital, wanting to listen to Danish Music Awards Jazz 2004 ‘New Name of The Year’ jazz drummer Steffan Passborg together with Niclas Knudsen (guitar) and Jeppe Tuxen (Hammond B3) in the band Ibrahim Electric. Little did we know, that we were in for a night unlike any other.

The musicians were at the same level as all of us listening, only elevated with the couple of carpets, that should ensure the drums staying in one place. The band was in a small corner of the café, which was all made of glass.

The house was almost full when the band took stage, but this crowd was nothing to what came to be later the same evening. The band started, it sounding like a weird twist of Eniro Morricone with the western style guitar playing the melody, the organ filling the room with a sense of cosiness and the drums pounding away making all of us uneasy in your seat, we felt like taking on the dancefloor that wasn’t there………yet.

This inferno of rhythmic sound, drew an enormous crowd, people started gathering outside the café and all windows were opened to please the outside crowd as well as the inside one, we were melting.

Between two track the guitarplayer Niclas Knudsen was encouraged by the audience to get rid of all chairs, to make room for more people. At this point people outside had been dancing for quite some time, and the orgasmic danceneed couldn’t be neglected by the audience inside. 150 people worked together like ants and got rid of all chairs in a couple of minutes, and the sweating band continued.

The concert was not just Ibrahim Electric playing, it was a two-way game, where the audiences happiness and yells made the music even greater. At one time the band made a break beat, and a woman cried at the top of her lungs, You’re soo cool and the band continued right after. The timing was perfect, and we realized that this wasn’t just jazz, it was pop, the audience was all kinds of people, the music had appeal to a broader mass than jazzlovers. Could this music end wars? Should we call Bob Geldof? There were so many question, of how to share this fantastic feeling with others.

This concert gave us all a feeling of great satisfaction. It was back in the summer of 2006, and I’ve had the pleasure of listening to the band again and again, and this must be the first jazzband ever that could become pop.

Their music cannot be described in words, if I could, there would be no reason to listen to it. Go ahead and give it a spin, and if you ever get the chance, listen to them live, that’s their element.

This is not from the concert I was at, but I get that moving feeling

Young Noser will be rent limb from limb to save you!

You really can’t get much more literal than that, can you Middlefans?

Tonight’s episode of The Middleman finds Wendy Watson fighting to save Middleman, fighting to save Lacey, fighting to save Noser, and fighting puppets. Seems a bit of a let down that her big fight of the night was against a couple of vampire puppet minions, but she sure did kick their puppety butts.

Nosiree, No Noser Here

We open in the illegal sublet Wendy shares with another, photogenic young artist as she and Lacey doll up for a party. TMI for Wendy and us as Lacey tells her she had a sex dream about Pip. In her recollection of the sex dream, Pip was dressed as the Middleman which should have told her something, but Lacey didn’t seem to realize.

At the party, Noser is nowhere to be found, but when her Tarot is read by a poser goth girl, someone or something possesses the goth and tells her the fate to befall Noser. Then the little Noser Tarot card bursts into flame. With cause, Wendy will be worried about Noser throughout the episode.

Cleaning up the next morning, she expresses her concerns to Lacey and finds out Lacey had ANOTHER sex dream about Pip in an Eisenhower jacket. She’s about to start a hard-target search of every farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse, and doghouse in the building when the Middlewatch beckons. Lacey tells her to go; she’ll find Noser. Unfortunately, Pip is looking for Noser as well – he owes rent money – and Lacey ends up joining forces with her nemesis/sex dream partner.

At Middleman HQ, Wendy finds the Middleman packing a bag with wooden stakes and mallets. There’s an auction of Vlad the Impaler’s possessions and the Middlemission is to buy every single item for sale. Ida grabs loads of cash from the Middlesafe and adds that to the weapons they bring.

Wendy may have encyclopedic knowledge of vamps, but she doesn’t know that not just any wood will kill one. Only purest Carpathian wood will do. Unfortunately for us, we don’t ever learn what it means when a vampire offers you soup. I imagine you say no.

The Young Transylvanian Puppeteer

Lots of resources means lots of winning bids at the auction house. With their Middlecash, the Middleduo buy everything right up until the final, surprise item. Middleman’s a bit worried with only $400K left, but it doesn’t really matter. When the auctioneer puts Vladdy, the puppet made in the image of Vlad on his hand, he is possessed by the spirit trapped inside its wooden heart. Middleman and Dubby give chase – outside and into the sunlight – but when they finally corner Vladdy and his meatpuppet, Vladdy turns into a Bat Puppet and flies them away.

Vladdy is looking to bring about the Eternal Night of Blood, and by tracking down the last living owner of the puppet and talking to him through Senor Wences-style puppets Middleman and Wendy learn that a second vampire puppet – Lizzie, Vladdy’s lover – exists. Should the two of them be married while on the hands of two true loves getting married, they will reverse the curse trapping them in their wooden forms. A quick check from Ida finds Lizzie in the Middleman archives.

While Wendy and Middleman are searching the archives, Wendy gets a call from Lacey. She and Pip found security camera footage of Noser accepting a shiny silver briefcase from a stiking Eastern European woman. Wendy goes to check the license plate on the Hadar and Middleman continues his search. The woman: Irena Dubrovna who lives at 1010 Holmwood Drive. The puppet: found.

Unfortunately for Middleman, vamps don’t show up on security cameras, so as soon as he finds Lizzie, he is set upon by Vladdy!

Noser’s Gift

The Middleman is bitten by Vladdy and loses Lizzie. With a puppet on each hand, the possessed auctioneer leaves Middleman HQ and heads to destination unknown. Not totally unknown, as Middleman slipped his Middlewatch on them in the scuffle. He gets a shot of the antidote and tells Wendy she might have to fight this one alone. Once a vamp tastes the blood of his victim, he knows everything about the victim. Middleman is an open book to Vladdy and a liability in a fight.

They track the puppets to MacFarlane & Gray Hotel and Convention Center. It should be easy to find two puppets on a single possessed man, right. If only it weren’t the International Ventriliquism Grand Championships!

Lacey and Pip show up. They were told by Irena that Noser was a great artist, a master by age 6, retired by age 13. He gave up touring the world, entertaining kings and queens to be a goat farmer. A great ventriliquist as it turns out. Pip takes off to get his camera and Lacey heads inside to find Noser. Middleman and Wendy head in to find the vampire puppets.

Lizzie takes control of Lacey and that’s about it for our heroes. Knowing what non-evil lurks in Middleman’s heart, Vladdy takes possession of him. Wendy is left to fight off vampire puppet minions while Vladdy and Lizzie seek to bring on the Eternal Night of Blood (and extract their cursed souls from their puppet prisons.) Wendy dispatches and dismembers the vampire puppet minions in short order and tries to find the Middleman and Lacey. But first, she runs into Noser.

(There’s a marriage ceremony going on right now, but really if you’ve seen one evil vampire puppet wedding ceremony you’ve seen ‘em all.)

Lacey finds out that Noser spent all his money on his concept album and needed to come out of retirement to win the prize money at the IVGC. His puppet is Little Noser who looks just like him, and interestingly enough is made of purest Carathian wood!

In the chapel, Wendy finds Vlad and Elizabeth in human form, ready to rain death and distruction. Middleman and Lacey have been transformed into puppets. Not wasting anytime, Wendy shoots two arrows of purest Carpathian wood through the black hearts of the vamps, dusting them. They return to their puppety forms while Middleman and Lacey are depuppetized. She’s fortunately forgotten all.

Lacey’s final sex dream is appropriately about the man she actually loves – the Middleman. Middleman confesses to Wendy that he does love Lacey, but she’s not the only woman he loves!

Shout-outs

Well, I’m super-happy Javi is posting his references himself after the shows air now. I caught a good handful tonight – it was pretty easy if I just assumed most were going to be Dracula references – but felt I’d come up pretty short. Here’s a link to the complete list.

Final Thoughts

Only two more episodes and I have a bad feeling we’re not going to find out who the other woman Middleman loves is. Let’s all send M&Ms to ABC Family to make sure the show makes it back next year. I want to know what happens with Lacey and Middleman. I want to hear Noser’s concept album. I want Wendy Watson to wear the catsuit some more!!!

What did everyone else think?
